UBT or university of business and technology is and incredibly modern and advanced higher education center, located in the capital of the republic of Kosovo, Pristina. This university is one of the best universities in the region. It is considered the largest computer science institute in Balkans and one of the biggest universities in Eastern Europe. This university has gotten European qualification degrees, such as ISO9001 and ISO17024. Therefore, this university offers first-class programs according to European standards.
Main campus of the university is located in Pristina Kosovo. However, the university has established 5 more campuses in other areas and cities, such as Lipljan, Freizaj and Prizren. This university is one of the most internationally active universities of Kosovo and has established 3 more branches abroad, other than its campuses inside Kosovo.
The university has established international relations with more than 240 universities all around the world. There are more than 100 visiting international students studying at this university. The university has many international staff and faculty members too. All these facts make UBT the most international community inside Kosovo.
This university is one of the biggest universities not only in Kosovo, but in Eastern Europe. There are more than 17000 students enrolled in this university. The university has employed more than 500 academic staff in its various departments. There are 19 faculties at this university. The university offers programs in undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Another advantage of this university is the fact that this university offers more than 200 research grants and several other national and international scholarships to its students. The university puts a great emphasis on research and has prepared more than 40 research laboratories inside the campus. There are 20 research support centers and 20 research centers at different campuses of this university.
Student life
When it comes to quality of life, UBT has a lot to say. This university is one of the most modern and most well-equipped universities in Balkans. Students can see some of the best academic and social facilities inside all of its campuses. In order for students to have a successful and comfortable life at the university, the university has prepared 12 canters which would provide any kind of help needed to the students. The main reason behind these centers establishment is actually creating a link between industry and university.
Infrastructure vise, UBT is surely among the top 3 universities in the region. The university library is a modern and fully-equipped library with more than 250000 copies of books inside. Students can access the national library of Pristina too. The university has provided various laboratories and research centers too. There are more than 40 different laboratories in different campuses and faculties of the university. The laboratory of management and the laboratory of architecture are among the best in the country.
Every year, during the academic year or in summer, various events and conferences are organized by the university. The university festival usually starts in July as a summer activity. Many conferences can also be seen during the year in almost all different faculties and departments.
The university has many hubs in different fields that students can use. There are some museums and also there is an art gallery for talented students. There is no information about sportive and accommodation facilities of the university.

UBT is a modern and high-quality university with incredible programs and world-class education. This university has been praised by several university assessment organizations. One of the most famous ones, the timeshighereducation ranking has ranked this university among the top 800 universities in the impact ranking. The webometrics website has ranked them the 17th best university in the Kosovo. According to the mentioned website, UBT is the 11936th best university in the world.
Faculty of management and business:
This department offers the best and most popular program of the university. It is an international y recognized faculty with skilled and knowledgeable staff and modern facilities. Students can study this program at all 4 campuses of the university in different cities.
Faculty of computer science:
Another one of the highly-ranked and internationally recognized faculties of this university is the computer science faculty. This faculty consists of modern laboratories and classrooms and offers first-class courses to its students. Students can study computer science in BSc and MSc levels at this faculty.
Faculty of architecture:
The third best program offered by this university is the Architecture program. This program is a high-quality program which is offered only in BA level. In this faculty, research is of great importance and all students are encouraged to participate in one of the research projects in one of the subfields of architecture.
Admissions and application requirements
Interested candidates complete the application for registration by attaching the necessary documents and submitting them to the Student Service Office. The required documents during the application are:
- Application form (Online of Physically) to be received by the Service Office Student (SSO);
- High school diploma/certificate of completion and matura test;
- Birth extract,
- Two autobiographies (CVs) for Working Students.
