Dentistry is a branch of science which deals dental and oral health of people. This field is one of the most important fields of medicine and an extensive amount of training and education is needed to reach the aims of each program. University of Pristina offers program in line with the principals of Kosovo’s medical system. In every dentistry program, many different types of equipment are needed in the educational process. Faculties try to provide the infrastructure needed for their courses inside the university, however, sometimes external assistance is also compulsory. In the faculty of medicine, more than 12 laboratories can be found, which have their own uses and research objectives. Erasmus programs are also quite popular and the university offers double degree majors with one of the partner universities. The university has a close association with the Chamber of Dentists of Kosovo and the national institute of public health, by which students can benefit from internship opportunities in various public hospitals.
